How I Got Here

I am currently a student studying Industrial Design at Griffith University, where I have been able to combine my passion for 3D modelling and visualization with my prior work experience as a CAD technician. I chose to pursue further education in this field because I wanted to advance my career and make a meaningful contribution to the industry. During my studies, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including a 3D printed bio-compatible prosthetic eye during my work placement at the Herston Biofabrication Institute. This experience has helped me to see the real-world impact of my work and has fuelled my passion for biomedical design in the Industrial Design field.

 

What I’m Passionate About

I am motivated by the opportunity to design tools and equipment that can be used in scientific studies and to make a positive contribution to the field of biomedical research. I am particularly passionate about “additive manufacturing” or 3D printing and am constantly inspired by the improving technology and creative applications in this area.

 

What Have I achieved

Throughout my studies and prior work experience, I have achieved a number of accomplishments that I am proud of. Some of my notable achievements include:

  • Maintaining a GPA score above 6.9 throughout my degree
  • Being accepted into the prestigious Griffith Honours College
  • Receiving the Griffith Futures Scholarship for 2022
  • Receiving the Griffith Academic Excellence Award for three consecutive years
  • Being awarded the Student Guild’s “People’s Choice Award” for my wooden dustpan Industrial Design project

 

What Are My Skills

In addition to these accomplishments, I have also gained a number of valuable skills and experiences through my studies and work placement which include:

  • Leadership, teamwork, communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills by learning how to effectively lead a team towards a common goal and to work collaboratively with others to achieve success
  • Effective time management and goal setting strategies for organizing my workload and prioritizing tasks in order to meet deadlines and achieve my goals
  • CAD modelling, illustration techniques, and idea generation methods, using various software programs to create detailed and accurate designs. I have developed a strong ability to generate new ideas and communicate them effectively with others
  • Additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and 3D scanning tools, learning to use various software and equipment to create accurate and functional prototypes and understanding their capabilities and limitations

 

Where I’m Going Next

As I continue to pursue my career goals, I am passionate about advancing my knowledge and skills in the Industrial Design field through further education and professional development. In the next phase of my career, I am particularly interested in pursuing my passion in future tech industries such as Biomedical, Aerospace, and Agriculture, and developing a career path in these exciting fields. I am confident that my diverse range of experiences and skills will make me a valuable asset to any team and am excited to take on new challenges and continue learning and growing as a professional. I am also interested in roles that allow me to develop my leadership skills, work on challenging projects, and contribute to the growth and success of the organizations I work for. I have expertise in 3D modelling, visualization, 3D printing, and 3D scanning and am always looking for ways to connect with other professionals in my field and learn from their experiences. Where I’m Ultimately Going

In the next 5-10 years, I see myself in a leadership role in the Industrial Design field, where I am able to use my expertise in 3D modelling and visualization, as well as my knowledge of additive manufacturing and 3D scanning, to create innovative and impactful solutions. I hope to be working at a company that values my skills and allows me to continue learning and growing as a professional, while also making a positive contribution to society through my work. In the long term, I hope to be recognized as a thought leader in my field and to make a significant impact on the industry through my contributions. I believe that by focusing on my goals and continually learning and growing, I will be able to achieve my long-term career objectives and make a meaningful difference in the world.

My skills and experience in the field allow me to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and safe products and systems that are intended to be manufactured and sold on the market. I am dedicated to delivering top-quality industrial design services to my clients and helping them achieve their goals.

3D Modelling & Visualization

I offer 3D modelling & visualization services to create accurate and detailed designs and bring ideas to life through visual communication. I am proficient in various software programs and techniques and can produce high-quality renderings for product design, marketing, and complex system visualization. My 3D modelling & visualization services are an essential part of my industrial design offering, helping to effectively communicate ideas to clients and bring products to life in a virtual environment.

3D Printing & Scanning

I offer 3D printing & scanning services to help clients bring their ideas to life. This service allows me to create physical prototypes of my clients' designs, as well as 3D scanning, which allows me to digitize physical objects and create digital copies of them. I also offer reverse engineering services, which involve analysing an existing product and creating a digital model of it. This is particularly useful for clients who want to recreate or replicate an old or hard-to-find object, such as a personal collectible. My expertise in 3D printing and scanning allows me to deliver high-quality and accurate digital copies of physical objects and to create functional prototypes that can be used for testing and evaluation.

Teaching & Consulting

I can provide teaching and consulting services to help clients learn new skills and improve their knowledge in the field of industrial design and CAD. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and expertise with others and am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their learning goals.
